The short version: 12hp Studio built FamTree to provide a great user experience. We collect only what we need to make the app work and never sell your data. Read on for the full details.

Information We Collect (FamTree Specific)
Because FamTree is a family genealogy app, we collect specific types of sensitive data:
Information you provide directly:
- User account details (email, password)
- Family tree data (names, birthdates, relationships of relatives)
- Photos, documents, or ancestry records you upload
Note: We do NOT collect or process physical DNA test kits.

How We Use Your Information

- To provide, maintain, and improve FamTree
- To personalize your experience within the app

Who Can See Your Family Tree?
By default, your family tree is Private. Only you and relatives you explicitly invite via email or link-sharing can view your tree.
We will never publish your family data to public search engines.

Children's Privacy
FamTree is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Sending a push notification or in-app alert
- Emailing you (if you have provided your email address)
